Madaraka Express seats, booked and e-ticketed for you
The Madaraka Express is Kenya's standard-gauge railway passenger service, running between Nairobi Terminus at Syokimau and Mombasa Terminus at Miritini, and calling at Athi River, Emali, Mtito Andei, Voi and Miasenyi along the way. It is the comfortable way to cover the long run between the capital and the coast, and the good seats sell out well in advance at busy times of year.
We buy the seats on your behalf. Tell us the date, the direction, how many travellers and whether you would prefer first class, and we book what is available and send the e-ticket straight to you. We will also tell you the station, the reporting time and anything else you need to know before the day itself.
The fare depends on the station pair and the class you travel in, and it changes from season to season, so we confirm the exact amount with your ticket rather than quoting a figure here. One thing never changes: every traveller must carry the same ID or passport that was used at booking, because it is checked at the gate.
